Our First Cache!

When we looked out of our windows we were greeted by a dusting of snow! What better time to go geocaching? So I (Josh) ambled with my cup of cocoa in hand over to Centenary Avenue to greet the snow angel (Jessica). She was examining the snow flakes because she doesn't get to see them often enough, unlike her northern counterpart.

(What is Geocaching you might ask? Well, Geocaching is like a high tech scavenger hunt that happens world wide. Little boxes that contain a wide variety of objects from trinkets to things called trackables, which if people choose to take them along travel from cache to cache. All of them have a log which shows you when people were there last. There are almost a million geocaches worldwide, so there is no end to this fun! go to Geocaching.com to learn more about it.)

We strolled gingerly down Willow Ave. to find the elusive cache, using my handy dandy iPhone, which contains infinite knowledge of all things, including coordinates to all the geocaches in the world. Not to be confused with the omniscience of God, which includes foreknowledge, which is not part of my iPhone's monthly plan. Just unlimited texting.

We walked down the Greenway to admire God's snowy handiwork that morning, and it felt magical to say the least. A lot like Narnia, Jessica says. Except a Narnia with geocaching.

And even though we found a geocache that morning, we were most happy that we found each other at the end of Centenary Avenue. No coordinates needed.

What a great way to start an adventure!
